We’re looking for an IT Support Engineer to provide 1st Line Support and 2nd line support within a MS Windows based environment.
You’ll be providing IT technical support and business user system technical support for 2 sites within the UK, supporting users both deskside and remote.
The ideal person will already be working within a support desk, Helpdesk or service desk environment providing Helpdesk and technical support expertise including trouble shooting desktop problems, laptop builds and Active Directory Group Policy.
Technically you will have a broad range of skills within a Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems environment including Windows 7, Windows 10, Office 365 / O365, Microsoft Office 2016 and Active Directory, ideally with Group Policy experience. Peripheral support such as laptop build also desirable.
You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of service desk best practice, incident management, taking ownership of problems, responding quickly to problems and relationship management. Above all enthusiasm for problem solving and for delivering exceptional customer service is required. This is a role where you’ll be liaising with key stakeholders within the business across all levels.
Based near Alfreton, Derbyshire, DE55 7FZ.
Onsite for the first 6 weeks, some flexibility for 2 days per week remote working afterwards.
