1st Line / 2nd Line Support Engineer required for a 4-month contract available for a manufacturing company based in the Derbyshire area.

£180 - £200 per day.

Inside IR35.

Onsite for the first 6 weeks, some flexibility for remote working afterwards.

We’re looking for an IT Support Engineer to provide 1st line and 2nd line support within a MS Windows based environment.

You’ll be providing 1st line support, 2nd line support and business user system technical support for 2 sites within the UK. 

The ideal person will already be working within a support desk or service desk environment providing Helpdesk and technical support expertise including trouble shooting desktop problems as well as setting up new users, password resets etc.

Technically you will have a broad range of skills within a Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems environment including Windows 7, Windows 10, Office 365 / O365, Microsoft Office 2016 and Active Directory.  Peripheral support such as printers, barcode printers also desirable.

You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of service desk best practice, incident management, taking ownership of problems, responding quickly to problems and relationship management.  Above all enthusiasm for problem solving and for delivering exceptional customer service is required.  This is a role where you’ll be liaising with key stakeholders within the business across all levels.

Based near Alfreton, Derbyshire, DE55 7FZ.
