The official job title for this role is Technology Business Partner, but it could also be described as a hybrid Business Analyst / Project Manager acting as the technology owner of all finance, accounting, and legal technology within the business.

It’s with a much-loved client of ours we have supported for over 10 years.  We have lots of examples of why they are a nice place to work.  But it’s also an exciting place to work.  This role is newly created as part of a new operating model and IT strategy.  IT transformation is happening at pace!

IT projects about to start include a SAP migration to SAP S4HANA as well as an application based project that delivers significant efficiencies for their clients.  SAP S/4HANA experience is not needed for this role as long as the experience is there with other business systems or ERP systems such as Dynamics 365, SAGE, JDE / JD Edwards or Oracle e-business.

As Technology Business Partner, not only will you be the trusted technical advisor for the finance, accounting and legal function managing the systems and underlying technology roadmap, you will also be their “technology thinker”, constantly looking at ways to innovate and challenge existing methods/technologies and ways of doing things.  This is a lot of transformation and change to lead and manage.

Accountabilities will include liasing with key stakeholders, including peers and the CFO, to elicit business requirements and identify ways to generate maximum value from technology.  A focus on continuous improvement and driving initiatives that deliver value such as integration and automation including RPA automation.  Project Management and supporting business change related to new technology solutions.

We’re looking for a person who has managed technology solution projects from conception to delivery, someone who has skills as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst or Solution Analyst combined with experience as a Project Manager.  A strong understanding of finance or accounting systems such as Sage.

A hybrid model of 3 days on site and 2 days remote working is in place.  The package comprises a basic to £60,000, 15% bonus, pension, healthcare and life assurance.  There are also fantastic onsite office facilities.

Based Cheshire, this position is easily commutable from places such as Manchester, Stockport, Cheadle, Didsbury, Wilmslow, Macclesfield, Knutsford, Congleton and is only a short walk away from a train station.
