 Chief Operating Officer, COO. Insurance/ Claims experience required.

 On behalf of our client we are looking to appoint a seasoned Chief Operating Officer / COO to work closely with this ambitious and established business on a Fractional basis.

 The purpose of this role is to further develop and enhance strategic operations and therefore commercial success. This fractional role holder will bring strategic expertise, executive leadership and operational insights.

 Our long standing client is keen to secure an individual who has a wealth of experience with organisations on a significant growth trajectory.

This person will have provided operational rigour and strategic expertise within a variety of sectors – specific experience of Insurance or Claims and operational claims processes is sought.

 The primary purpose of this role is to develop as well as implement a robust operational strategy aligned to the business growth whilst working closely with the MD of the UK business and C-suite including the CIO and relevant Directors and business stakeholders.

The successful applicant will have a proven  track record of working with organisations to transform operations. In order to do so, key skill sets will include:

  • Strategic expertise – Creating, and working successfully to a defined strategy, as opposed to a reactionary plan 
  • Executive Leadership and mentoring- acting as a member of the executive leadership team, contributing to overall business direction and decision-making
  • Steeped in operational insights across a broad range of sectors
  • Solid operational excellence- evaluating current workflows and processes- successfully developing frameworks for performance monitoring, continuous improvement, and operational risk management.
  • Strong stakeholder management, a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in to strategic objectives.

 Key deliverables include not only a documented operational strategy (including a clear roadmap for implementation and associated key performance indicators) but the successful execution of agreed key strategic initiatives as outlined in the operational strategy.

Also required is an end of assignment report summarising key learnings, achievements, and recommendations for continued progress beyond the 12-month engagement

 Crucial to the success of this appointment, and therefore the continuous progression and transformation of the organisation, is this persons’ working style and approach.

They are seeking someone who has an inclusive and collaborative approach, balanced with a firm and decisive manner.

This will be on a c 3 day week basis and for an expected duration of 12 months. Outside IR35.
