We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as the Head of Digital Transformation. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a digital transformation roadmap that aligns with the company’s long-term objectives. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will lead the charge in driving innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering a digital-first culture across the business.
This is a dynamic role for a strategic thinker who is passionate about using technology to achieve transformative business outcomes, improve customer and colleague experiences, and elevate overall performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the execution of the organisation’s digital transformation strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals.
- Identify and prioritize key digital initiatives and innovations that will drive growth and operational efficiency.
- Implement change management strategies to support digital adoption across the business.
- Collaborate with department heads to streamline processes and enhance operations through digitalisation.
- Utilize omnichannel strategies and data analytics to improve customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Establish data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity and quality.
- Foster a culture of innovation, digital thinking, and continuous improvement across all departments.
- Identify training programs to upskill employees and promote a digitally fluent workforce.
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and partners, ensuring high-quality delivery of digital solutions.
- Lead and mentor project delivery managers, ensuring successful project execution across the organisation.
- Set and track KPIs to measure the impact of digital transformation initiatives.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends to support business needs and compliance requirements.

Required Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role overseeing digital transformation or innovation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their business applications.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically, manage ambiguity, and drive change.
- Proven track record of inspiring and leading teams toward a shared vision.
- Experience in managing and delivering complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Expertise in change management and fostering digital adoption.
- Strong analytical skills with an innovative approach to solving business challenges.
- Experience in managing third-party suppliers and building business cases for project prioritisation.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, cloud platforms, data management, and automation tools.
- Recent experience with Salesforce cloud products or similar CRM / workflow platforms.
- Practical experience with a range of project and business change methodologies.
People Management
- Line management of a small team of Project Manager / Business Analyst resource.
- Future building of a solid IT capability
Basic salary range £80,000 to £100,000 plus generous benefits including bonus.
Based West Lancashire / Merseyside border. Hybrid working pattern.
