As Infrastructure Engineer, you should love a challenge and feel ready to take charge for the delivery of infrastructure projects as part of this role. You may have worked on Infrastructure projects already, you may have even been solely responsible for running a project. Length of time working on projects, or number of projects delivered isn't defined, it's the attitude and ability to handle the responsibility of owning and delivering a project that we're interested in! Could you own the change management of a project as well as technically deliver the project? Would you know what to do if something went wrong?

Technically, we're looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who has provided 2nd line and 3rd line support as well as worked on, or had exposure to project based work. A Microsoft, Linux and Cisco technical environment, you should be an expert supporting a Windows based environment comprising Windows Server to Windows Server 2019, Active Directory, Exchange online, Exchange 2016, Office 365 / O365 etc. Linux (Ubuntu, Redhat) skills would be useful as well as networking skills for network management of the estate comprising Cisco, SonicWALL) and network monitoring devices.
As a proactive Infrastructure Engineer, you will be able to play a key role in project delivery. Current projects include an Azure rollout with lots more planned in the pipeline that you will have a chance to own and deliver yourself. Other proactive tasks can also be delivered using your own initiative such as push scripting or automation to drive efficiencies within tech such as ServiceNow and Software-as-a-service (SAAS) tech such Salesforce.
Hybrid working pattern comprising 2 or 3 days each week in the office. Based in the heart of the beautiful Cheshire Plain, this role is easily commutable from places such as Northwich, Knutsford, Macclesfield, Wilmslow, Congleton, Holmes Chapel, Chester, Winsford, Crewe and Middlewich.
