Our client is a multi-award-winning leader in their field; they are an established yet growing organisation with a wealth of current and planned networking projects and initiatives.
As Senior Network Analyst, a large percentage of your time (70% plus) will be spent on networking projects. These projects will be a mix of integration and non-integration projects such as updating firmware to a huge datacentre warehouse project to replace switches by rolling out Cisco Nexus 9000 Series switches.
This is a networking environment that has matured significantly over the last 2 years so we’re looking for a Senior Network Analyst that understands routing protocols inside out, a true expert in routing protocols who has worked to implement best practice network configuration throughout.
When not involved with project work, you will be subject matter expert for the BAU team and act as the escalation point for networking issues so experience of 3rd line network support or experience within a NOC would be beneficial. As third-line escalation, all network incidents, problems and considering change requests relating to the network infrastructure would sit within your responsibilities.
- Experience needed will include previous experience of supporting networking and telephony technologies within a corporate IT infrastructure environment.
- Cisco router and switch experience is needed, and a Cisco CCNP accreditation would be preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of DHCP, OSPF, BGP and DNS configuration is essential, particularly around network protocol best practice as the environment continues to mature.
- Network security and network security management would be preferred along with firewall administration knowledge.
This position is commutable via the M6 motorway and places such as Wolverhampton, Cannock, Stafford, Telford, Dudley, West Bromwich, Shrewsbury, Walsall, Stourbridge and much of Birmingham and the West Midlands.
